Voguing is a dance form originating in the late 1980s that evolved out of the Harlem ballroom scene of the 1960s. Inspired by its predecessor ”Old Way”, Vogue Femme is an ultra-feminine dance variation of voguing created by Black and Latinx Femmequeens (Transwomen) of the community, emulating how they had begun to feminize and soften the more precise lines and poses found in Old Way. Vogue Femme pays tribute to the essence of Femmequeens and is composed of 5 elements: Duckwalk, Catwalk, Spin & Dips, Floor and Hands performance.
